My entry for the 100 Frame (4 seconds) Animation challenge. Had a week to do it but only found time to work on it for a couple of nights in total. The theme was ‘Dangerous Job’.
I thought I’d use it as an opportunity to experiment with combining Maya fluids, Rigid Bodies, nCloth dynamics (the glass shatter) and character animation. It was a challenge to fit it all into 4 seconds but it was good practice. -
A few test shots for an animation I’m working on, just using the andy rig at the moment with some basic lighting until I’ve got all the shots worked out.
-
Quick character sketch in Photoshop while waiting for animations to render
-
Some pose sketches and ideas for a couple of scenes in my animation
-
Some 60 second gesture drawings using my tiny wacom tablet, a lot harder than using a pencil but its good practice.
-
Quick fineliner sketch of a scene idea for a new animation I’m working on
-
Cat run cycle, still need to make his tail a bit smoother but the majority is there
-
Another quick animation drawn on paper with a fineliner, this one took about half an hour to put together #animation #bounce
-
Quick walk cycle, drawn with a fineliner. Pretty rough but I was too tired to neaten it up. This took around an hour to put together
-
A quick animation I put together using the audio from the November 11 Second Club Competition. Wish I’d had more time to add more to it but have been way too busy..
